Week 7: Circuit Design


Assalamualaikum..

I hope you guys still can perform our fasting's obligation as long as we are able to do so. This week, I've doing a pre-sketch of our circuits. I start with a description for our project's block diagram. The picture that I have upload above is a pre-sketch of our block diagram.

We are using LM35 (temperature sensor) as our Input. Referring to the PIC datasheet, the input will connected to A0 pin at PIC. LCD and PIC pin will be used in the process category. Since we are not proficient in PIC Programming, so we had to commute to Perlis every week to learn about the PIC Programming from our ex-lecturer in IKM Perlis & ILP Perlis.

The LCD screen will show us the output that we have set up in the PIC. To produce the output, we have a little bit of problem, we had a confuse either we want to produce our output using fans, or any other devices.  So for the output, we need to hold it process first, and we will decide it after having a discussion with our supervisor, Madam Naszariah.

Week 6 : Off to Jalan Pasar

Hello Assalamualaikum guys.

Before I proceed to my project progress, I want to apologize to all of the readers especially to my supervisor for not updating my blog for a few weeks. I'm busy right now with the other commitment such as a lot of assignments and laboratory need to be done.

It is the time for us to design our circuits. As I mention before, Our project will consist 3 circuits :

  • PIC Circuit
  • Transistor Drive Relay Circuit
  • Temperature Sensor circuit                                                                                                                    

    Today I would like to show you a part of component's that we bought at Jalan Pasar. I did not put all the component in today's entry due to the component that still not been purchased. 








We search every single place at Jalan Pasar, but we are only get a few of components. It is because we  are arrived late from our estimation time.  InsyaAllah, we will go back there to get all next weekend.





This is the one of our receipt, another receipt because of the several technical problems. InsyaAllah,we will upload it in next entry.

Week 5 : Our Components ..

Assalamualaikum & Have a nice day, readers !



Alhamdulillah, Now we have been entered the third phase of fasting month. May Allah give   forgiveness and a lot of mercy for us, Insya-Allah.. 

After doing some research and discussion about our project, we are able to list down our component that we need in our project. This is require us to go to Jalan Pasar, Kuala Lumpur to obtain the necessary item, I mean an electronics component, and all of the devices that we need for our project.

For this project, we need to construct 3 circuits. This is the list of component for the PIC Circuit.

For the second circuit (Transistor Drive Relay), we need to use :

6.Diode 1N4007

and the last circuit ( Temperature Circuit ) needs :

week 4 : Our Greatest Plan !


Hello Assalamualaikum readers..

On this week, we are starting for doing our final report. As I told you before, we need to prepare a great plan to make sure our vision will accomplish on time. So, using Microsoft project software, we are creating a Gantt Chart in order to ensure that our project construction progress will be proceeded smoothly.

Week 2 : INTRODUCTION TO OUR PROJECT

Assalamualaikum..



" Smart Temperature Controller " that we will construct is adapted from UniKL's magazines (epe 10-07) on tittle Coldalert Hypothermia Alarm. We are approach to make a changes in that project especially for its function. 




Our "Smart Temperature Controller " consist of a combination of a several circuits and will be function when the room temperature reach out to the high temperature. Let me explain the project operation for this project.



Assuming that our room temperature is 27 degree celcius. At the project, we've already set the temperature of 35 degree. When the room temperature achieve the 35 degree and above, the temperature sensor circuit will sent the signal to the micro-controller circuit to turn on the relay, the relay will be placed on the transistor drive relay circuit and the relay will turn on the fan in order to decrease the room temperature.





When the temperature is below than 35 degree, the temperature sensor circuit will sent the signal again to the micro-controller circuit to turn on the relay, and the relay on the transistor drive relay circuits will turn off the fan automatically.

On the first week, we was attend the briefing and we  are required to provide a blog for this project in order to express our project details in it. On this week also my partner (NURUL ATIQAH) and I was doing some research regarding this project and we already formulate the greatest plan for our project progress.
